Bluzah- 02-02-2008
Rezz was sitting at home with Zeb when he heard his sister speaking through the windgem.

He heard her plea... Without hesitation he stood and looked to Zeb. "Go sweetie She needs you" Zeb said to him. Rezz nodded and grabbed his things quickly and climbed the tower to the wing rider and paid the fare to ratchet. He landed and began to almost run over to the hut where Farz said she was.

He smiled at the midwife and asked for Farz. he got pointed upstairs and thanked her.

He climbed the stairs quickly to see Farz cradled in Rae's arms crying.

"Farz, aye came as soon as aye could."

Rae smiled and stood up letting Farz flop into her brothers arms.

"I will give you two some time alone." Rae smiled a little and walked out. happy that Rezz had come to see her.

Farz did not speak, and neither did Rezz. Rezz just held his sister to him as she wept. Rezz slipped into a daze for a moment and came back out of it with a smile.

"Farz?" He said softly, stroking her hair. " Something tells me things are going to be ok"

Farz looked at Rezz with a small smile.. she knew Rezz had seen something. Maybe he was right.

Farz smiled weakly again and slowly drifted off to sleep in his arms.

Raenial- 02-02-2008
Raenial looked up from his drink in the common room of the Inn in Ratchet as a particularly strong gust of wind rattled the wooden blinds that stood across the entry way in a feeble attempt to keep the late winter storm that blew in off the ocean to soak the dried out Barrens. Stirred from his thoughts he frowned even more deeply at the thought of slogging through the mud back to Farz's room. It'd been a little over a week since she'd lost the child and her recovery was slow going, perhaps mostly because of Raenial's occasional absence on his excursions to the Outlands. He sighed to himself as he took another sip of the rum in front of him feeling it burn but not warm his throat while it passed on down to his unsettled stomach. There were so many things left half done, or not done at all.

He spent too much time away from Farz because of his duties, and it didn't help that there were some disturbing developments in Nagrand that he still had to deal with. On top of this he still had to find and speak to this Lady Rainea woman about the "problems" she was having that threatened herself and Solanaria and by extension Lorinni, himself, and perhaps even Farz. After all there was no telling how far this depraved villain would go to hurt Rainea and those close to her. Then there was Lorinni, he'd been pushed into madness so that he didn't remember the past year or the people who'd grown close to him during that year. What's more he kept fondling a bullet for some reason. Solanaria was in need of his attention as well because of all the things she was going through as a result of her involvement with Rainea and Lor's condition. He'd been so damned busy that he hadn't even had time to sit back and finish the discussion he'd started with Ilierria outside of Hellfire Citadel after they'd investigated the area of it known as the "Blood Furnace". So many people depended upon him and he was beginning to feel stretched to the limit. So much so that he'd began drinking again and his brow had seemed to have developed a permanent furrow. Light; he hadn't even been able to give Farz the marriage she deserved!

"Well, if it isn't the great Raenial Bloodmoon," a somewhat familiar voice chimed in breaking Raenial of his train of thoughts once more. He looked up to see the sarcastic grin of a Sin'dorei he'd expected to never see again. The smile he offered the man standing opposite him faded a bit as he noticed the void walker lurking behind the red haired elf but he still gestured for his old acquaintance to sit. "Welcome to Ratchet Colwynn. It's been a long time, I was beginning to think that cult you've fallen in with had sacrificed you," he said and chuckled a bit.

Colwynn laughed at this as well and shook his head, but offered no explanation to this defender of the Light about where he -had- been or what he had been up to. Instead he engaged Rae in meaningless chit chat over the state of things in Silvermoon, the political machinations of the Horde, ect. "So I heard that you and that trollish wife of yours nearly had a child, you have both my congratulations and my condolences," Colwynn told him while trying to remain sincere. Raenial nodded with a grunted "thanks, I guess" in reply. "I do have a reason beyond catching up for looking for you today, Raenial. I was wondering what you knew about... Strattholme. Specifically the quarter controlled by the Scarlet Crusade."

He took a moment to think about it and then finally shrugged, "Not much more than I'd guess you do. The crusade is so corrupt they attack anything living or undead that approaches the area they control." Rae watched Colwynn curiously a moment before continuing, "why? Are you planning on attacking the crusade?" Colwynn snorted and laughed derisively at the paladin's assumptions, "Hardly. The crusade are just puppets controlled by a demon masquerading as one of them. I understand he has many plots in the works, and being the kind sole I am I thought I should warn you that you lost your child because of one of them."

Raenial sat back in his chair in shock as the warlock revealed this to him. Then he leaned forward again as his expression turned to stone, "You'd better watch yourself Colwynn." The warlock raised his hands defensively trying to calm the now irate paladin, "I mean no disrespect Raenial. But I thought you should know that your child was actually a demon and you were lucky it was lost." But then it seemed Colwynn just couldn't help himself as he sneered and added, "Though why you ever thought marrying one of those ugly troll women, let alone trying to have a child with one, was a good idea I'll never know. Isn't your family supposed to be some well to do high class nobility of Silvermoon or some such?"

Colwynn was barely allowed to finish speaking before Raenial was on him with a roar! Those final comments had driven the distraught man over the edge in a way Colwynn couldn't have predicted as a fist was launched at his face. The void walker moved to pull Raenial off of his master and was subsequently banished in a blast of holy fire that left naught but the bindings it'd been wearing to clang to the floor. This wasn't a fight so much as it was a beat down as Raenial mercilessly pounded the warlock with one fist after another. And while Colwynn had the fortitude to withstand the blows for a while he lacked the necessary strength to truly fight back. Finally Raenial let up and looked down at the half dead man laying on the ground before him all bloodied and bruised, his eyes blackened and lips split and bleeding.

Inwardly Raenial knew that the guards would soon be coming to deal with the fight because although they were somewhat unsavory the goblins who ran this town were at least serious about keeping mischief in check. He looked at the innkeeper, "You! You're silence can be bought for a price yes?" Without waiting for an answer he tossed the innkeeper a bag of hard won gold from his trips to the Outlands and spoke with a note of contempt in his voice, "Take this then. I was never here." After taking care of that he looked down at Colwynn again and spoke a phrase that for once had nothing but undisguised venom in it, "Go with the Light my son." Then he muttered "I have to see to my wife," and walked out into the driving rain.

Zebgora- 02-17-2008
Zebgora gently nudged Chayell, his huge riding raptor, along the Gold Road in the Barrens. As he rode making for Ratchett, he recalled the news Bluzah had given him initially, that Farz was indeed carrying a child from Rae. At the time it had seemed impossible and surely would have been shunned by Vol'jin and the tribal elders of Sen'jin. And the child itself, he thought on. There woud have just been no way for him or her to ever be accepted in either societies. All this on top of his confused feelings of how he knew he should despise the very idea of it, and yet Raenial, the Sin'dorei, had become a friend of sorts hadn't he?

And he was most dear to Farz, who was dear to her brother, Rezzah his beloved soul mate and bond partner. When simplified so much in his mind it all seemed to make sense he thought as he neared the wheather beaten, sun bleeched wooden road sign that he knew indicated Ratchett.

He recalled he had put aside the thoughts for the time being to let it sink in, and even the last time he had seen Rezzah at their home, they had not discussed it any, until Rezz heard his sister's worried voice on the windspeech gem. He had been curious but it was never Zeb's way to ask his love pestering questions especially when it came to his sister. Zeb merely thought to himself, "perhaps Farz is simply nervous and feeling some jitters, and there is nothing wrong with wanting her only remaining blood kin member nearby."

That had been some weeks ago, but now only a day ago he had been in Garedar where Bluzah had found him only to tell him the tragic news which had apparently happend some weeks ago. He was stunned but didnt know why. He had left his home in Thunder Bluff a day after Rezz left in a hurry to go to Farz. The Cenarion forces stationed in Zangarmarsh had recruited him to assist in the deep exploration of the Coilfang Resovoire. He knew another trip in the caverns was soon but damn them, his mate and family might need him now.

After another hour of riding, the sun was beginning to set casting long shadows,as he arrived in the harbor town of Ratchett. Its proximity to the Great Sea made it so the salted air was blown this far inland. He said a quick word in trollish making a minor magic shield form around him. In this town one couldn't be too careful of cut throats and pirates after a quick coin. The shiled wasn't much but it was still better then nothing.

He turned down the street he remembered was where Mari was known to live. Perhaps he could ask her if she had seen them. The loss had after all, happened a week prior.

"It would make sense" he thought stepping up to the door. He looked around and listened, but there seemed to be no noises coming from inside, only the faint whistle of the ocean breeze could be heard. He felt bad if he was disturbing anyone's rest but this was a worthey reason too right? Seeing his beloved was worth it as well, and he hoped the long ride hadn't mussed his appearance too badly as he gently tapped on the door.

Bluzah- 02-19-2008
Rezz looked up as he heard someone knock at the door downstairs. He slip out from Under Farz and placed her head on the pillow. he was happy she was asleep. She had been through some tough times.

He stood in the doorway watching her sleep for a moment when one of the midwife tapped him on the shoulder telling him that Zeb had come to see him.

He smiled for the first time since he got to see his sister. He realised then he had been with his sister for almost a week now and hadn't been in contact with Zeb. He cursed himself for now doing so but Farz needed him. Zeb would understand that.

He walked downstairs into the room where Zeb was waiting. he said nothing to Zeb, just walked and and hugged Zeb close to his chest. Zeb held him back. They stood there without a word for a minute.

Rezz pulled away a bit and muttered, "Aye'm Sorr.." Zeb stopped him.

"It's ok..You don't need to apologise..She is your family, She needed you" Zeb said to him softly.

"Go for a walk with my sweet?" Rezz asked him

"Of course my love" Zeb replied.

Rezz looked to one of the midwives and asked them to keep an eye on Farz, then walked out the hut hand in hand with Zeb.

They walked down to a quiet spot by the ocean and sat down.

He said nothing and waited for Zeb to speak.

Zebgora- 02-21-2008
"Of course I came as soon as I found out, my love." Zeb spoke over the sound if the sea drifting in. He had settled quite close to Rezz and held him from behind, both looking out into the dark as night had fully settled by now. The faint lighting from the town managed illuminate the small beach, but the light only went out so far.

"And more so because I missed you terribly. And I now understand why you've seemed so distant lately. Ive got mixed emotions about the whole thing, Rezz." Zeb continued, lightly resting his tusks on Rezz's shoulder as he spoke. "Ive not spoken anything about this to the Oldspears or the other clans. My father knows but don't think the others would understand."

Zeb paused, squeezing Rezz. "The last thing any of us needs is to be berated by the other clans. However in not saying anything, another burdon is placed on us. Though, I did promise to bear your burdons for you when you became my mate." Zeb said feeling his heart warm with love, and resolution that no matter what happened, he would do what he needed for Rezz. Even if it meant supporting his sister's marraige to a Sin'dorei.

Raenial- 03-16-2008
There exists in every mans mind a battlefield:

Stunted skeletal trees and large jagged rock formations were all there were to break the monotony of the barren plains that stretched off into the distance of infinity. The plains were lit by an ambient light that seemed to seep through the roiling storm clouds and punctuated with a flash now and then as a rope of lightning struck and scorched the earth. The world is silent aside from the clap of thunder accompanying each strike of lightning. But suddenly the almost deafening silence is broken by the howl of a rising wind as it sweeps across the land. It kicks up a cloud of dust and debris as it moves along and as it settles two figures are revealed standing opposite of one another.

Both appear Sin'dorei in build and stature, but one appears to be made from a darkness so black that a portion of the light around it seems to be absorbed into it while the other figure appears to be made from a light so pure that it's aura makes the figures features almost indistinguishable. If one were to look closely though one would see that both figures resembled Raenial when dressed in full battle gear. As soon as the dust settled it seemed to signal a silent command which sent the two figures hurtling together with equally bone chilling cries of rage. Though their weapons clashed and grinded against one another with each strike it seemed that the words spoken by one figure or the other was what caused the blades to strike true and not the strength, agility or skill of the figure.

"He should keep them both! Farzahrah doesn't need to know about his affair with Bluzah and Bluzah is so desperate for love that she will likely do anything he asks of her," the dark figure commented as he swung his weapon.

"The guilt would eat him alive from the inside! Besides Farzahrah and Bluzah are best friends, sooner or later a confrontation would occur and where would that leave any of them but broken and alone," countered the being of light with a parrying twist of his blade.

"Guilt?! Ha! He's already betrayed his so called beloved Farzahrah with Bluzah on more than one occasion. It's only this last time that they finally consummated their hedonistic tryst," the dark figure cried out as he scored a hit on the figure of light.

"And he's confessed his sins to his beloved! He has even gone so far as to avoid Bluzah to keep his feelings for her in check!" the figure of light said as he felt the dark blade bite through his armor to taste flesh.

The two figures fought back and forth and while one or the other would score an occasional hit they seemed to be at a stalemate. Finally the figure of light spoke through gritted teeth as they struggled against one another, "This cannot stand. We -must- come to a resolution or risk the challenge of another."

The dark figure nodded his head, "Agreed." And then almost as one both figures put up their blades and walked towards one another. There was a deafening blast of sound and fury as the two became one and Raenial stood in their place with a resigned expression upon his face, "There's only one fair thing that I can do. For Farzahrah, myself and Bluzah."

********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Raenial stood outside the hut he'd shared with Farzahrah on the banks of the Southfury River. It was late and though he'd been as quiet as possible Cupcakes had still stuck his head out of the drapes covering the entrance to take a peek. After making a noise of recognition he'd ducked back inside and left Raenial standing there with an amused smile dragged down a bit by the lump he felt in his chest. Drawing a deep breath he finally worked up the courage to enter the hut.

Inside he stopped short a moment as red eyes met his in the darkness, apparently Cupcakes had woken Farzahrah with all his moving about to see who was outside. She smiled and seemed happy to see him but there was a distance in her eyes that had not been there before. He'd been gone too long again, and when he sighed he could see her tense as she braced herself for another of his apologies and weak excuses of duty.

Instead he bent down and scooped her up into his arms, something he rarely did because her longer frame tended to make carrying her about clumsy at best and he often knocked things over. She gasped in pleasant surprise at the unique embrace and the kiss he gave her as well while settling to the floor of their hut. But the warmth that had been growing in her gaze because of this surprising treatment began to dull and be replaced by concern as their kiss was broken and she noticed the sorrow in his features.

"Farz, I've been horrible to you. Once again I'm rarely here for you when you need me because of my duties in the Outlands. I can see the distance that's grown between us in the way you look at me and it tears my heart apart," he began in a quiet voice. When she tried to protest he placed a finger against her lips and his voice firmed slightly as he said, "Please love, let me finish."

"the stipend I'm paid by the Order and supplementary gold I receive for fulfilling the requests of those in need of aid can make your life more than comfortable, but it cannot fill the void I've left you with each and every time I leave this hut to fulfill my duties in the Outlands. I have failed you in every way aside from monetarily and been nothing that a man should be to the woman he loves. Even to the point of sneaking off to vent my fury on the bodies of my foes while you lay in bed needing nothing more than to have me sitting by your side as our baby was lost to your illness. I still have yet to even give you the marriage I'd promised you so long ago. My list of crimes against you goes on and on I'm afraid," he sighed as he took a breath after realizing that his ranting had hardened his voice with self loathing.

"I don't want you to try and deny any of this to make me feel better Farz. Unfortunately it is what it is. I've been a horrible lover and friend to you and you deserve better than me. Please... I... I'm sorry sweet huntress of my heart, but I just can't. I can't put you through this any longer, hate me if you wish, strike me down if you wish, the Light knows I deserve whatever retribution you decide to mete out," he blurted out in a rush of words as tears built at the corner of his anguished face. He sat there and watched Farzahrah, unsure of what she would do and dreading the silence that had begun to stretch out between them.

Bluzah- 03-19-2008
Farz looked at Rae for what seemed like an eternity. But it was only a few minutes. She took a deep breath and said very calmly.

"Rae...aye love you, but you 'ave done too muc' ta 'urt me. Aye don't want to see you anymore." Anger in her words slowly coming out as she speaks.

"Get your stuff.. and GET OUT."

Rae looked at her with a saddened tone, said nothing and collected his belongings and walked out. Farz knew he was still out there somewhere when she made a decision. The hut, although hers long before Rae lived with her.. brought back too many memories.. she couldn't live there anymore. She gathered together all her thing while Cupcakes looked at her strangely. She walked out the curtains of the hut and saw Rae, still nearby but not in ear shot. She put her stuff down to the side and gave Cupcakes a scratch.

"Stay"

Farz looked over the hut one more time before placing one of her explosive traps in the doorway. She picked up her stuff and whistled for Cupcakes.

"Cupcakes..Come!"

As she walked off she threw something at the trap to set it off. It exploded loudly and promptly set the hut on fire. Farz did not turn back and slowly walked away.

Bluzah- 03-25-2008
It was only just after dawn when the messenger arrived at the hut Rezz and Zeb shared with an urgent message for Rezz. He took it sleepily and opened it. It was a letter from his sister Farzahrah. It read:

Dear Brother,
Aye ave some bad news. As of two days ago, aye ave no place to live. Aye burnt it to the ground. Don't worry Aye am ok. Rae and aye are no longer together. We could not give each other what we needed. We both knew that.. but we kept together for the child sake. Now with my child gone.. he and aye cannot make it work.

Aye think he may have been unfaithful too.. He didn't say but aye could see it in his eyes.

I am going away for a while. Cupcakes is with me and aye ave plenty of supplies to last me for a good month. Don't try and find me. Aye will return.

Give my love to Zeb. Spirits Watch Rezz. Stay safe.

Love Farz

Rezz stared at the letter dumbfounded. It was unlike his sister to act in such a way. This is something he never saw coming.

He dug into his pack and found his wind gem, hoping that Zeb would hear him and return home to him to comfort him as he sat shaking, scared for his sister's life.

Zebgora- 04-01-2008
Zebgora awoke the next morning to find his precious Rezz still asleep at his side and simply lay there a little as he recalled the evening before. The letter that Rezz had gotten from his sister had indeed seemed odd. Zeb knew of course, that if anyone would know Farz's way of thinking well, it would be Rezz. And according to him, this -was- odd for her.

He had hurried home to Rezz as quickly as he could, to Thunder Bluff and found him trembling and appearing grim. And the news was dissapointing, but Zebgora held his beloved close, soothing him as he listened.

Rezz stirred a little next to him but settled, and Zeb let him sleep however. At a time like this, Rezz would need all the rest he can get, and any escape from the worry. Zeb just hoped his love's dreams were at least pleasant.

"Should we go and seek her really?" Zeb wondered to himself. Farz's wishes had been specifically to not go find her. Rezz at least took comfort in the knowledge that she had a protector out there in the form of her raptor companion, Cupcakes. He was sure the beast would be capeable against somethings, however there was always the chance for surprise. And Rezzah would worry for Farz anyway.

He would discuss it more with Rezz soon, and simply rolled over to look at him as he slept, gently reaching to touch the sleeping Rezz's hair. The fact remained that it was unfortunate that Farz didnt have a place to call home anymore, however she had said she intended to return, Zeb presumed to where ever she would look for a place next. Still, Zeb's thoughts returned to Rezz. His beloved might worry himself sick, not knowing if his sister is alright or not.

Bluzah- 04-07-2008
Farz wandered through the grassy hills.. staring at the forest in awe. She hadn't seen a forest so green and lush before. She had spent some time in the hills of Stranglethorn.. but this place took her breath away. Even Cupcakes seem excited to be somewhere new..somewhere new to explore and run around.

They stopped by a quiet pool of water and had a snack before walking on. Her riding raptor had taken her very far so she decided to walk for a bit.

She followed the winding roads around the trees and over a stream.. ahead she could see some people.. Taruen. She had found a small camp.

She walked in and saw there was an inn. She stepped inside and the innkeeper gave her a smile.

"Welcome to Camp Mojache"

Farz smiled and took a seat at one of the tables. She liked it here. She ordered herself a drink and sat back with a smile.

She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them hearing a familiar voice behind her. She turned around and looked almost shocked. The figure turned...

"Farzahrah?"

Raenial- 04-14-2008
It was one of those periods in life where everything seemed to be falling apart and coming together all at once. It was only that morning as Raenial walked along the beach, allowing the warm tropical waters to wash over his feet with every gentle swell, that he had time to really think back on everything that had happened recently. And it truly made his mind boggle at how much the world had changed, how much -he- had changed. There was a time in his life when he never would have allowed the personal events that had taken place to have happened. He wondered if he was losing his direction again for a moment and then dismissed the doubt. He did not need another doubt clouding his mind.

The explosion coming from the hut he'd shared with Farzahrah for nearly a year had made him pause and turn back. Fortunately she and cupcakes had left a trail he could follow so he knew she was at least safe and had not killed herself out of depression or despair. He'd watched the fire burn for a while, along with the fond memories of the times he and his former fiance had spent there. He'd attempted to just relax back at the hut he'd kept for himself in Steamwheelde but just could not.

Eventually he returned to Silvermoon, he needed M'uru's council and strangely just to be around his fellow Sin'dorei for a while. It was there he encountered a very saddened Rainea, standing alone by a fountain in quiet contemplation. As Aureliana had requested of him he returned the libram Rainea had given to Solanaria, claiming it'd been posted to him with a dying request that he return it to her. She'd asked him if Sola had been able to unlock it and he was forced to admit that sadly she had not. If a person's already broken heart could shatter further he sensed that it did for Rainea in that moment. He almost apologized for misjudging her, but instead settled for assuring her he would keep Solanaria's memory alive.

That night as Raenial wandered the Order's compound lost in thought an alarm was raised as portals opened within that quarter of the city and soldiers claiming to be the chosen of Kael'thas poured into the halls of the Blood Knights. Raenial and many others fought against these foes who shattered through the wards keeping M'uru in place. Oddly throughout it all the Naruu's softly chiming song barely changed, as if the attack did not surprise it, In the early dawn hours as Raenial was tending to his wounds and the wounds of others he found himself summoned to an audience with the Lady Liandrin herself. He was one of many it seemed that morning who the Matron of the Blood Knights spoke to and asked pointed questions of, both about the attack itself and, strangely, if he thought a delegation from the Order would be well received by A'dal.

To add to his growing confusion it was later that day he received orders to report to Quel'Danas to assist something called the "Shattered Sun Offensive" retake the sun well from demonic interlopers. He learned later that the offensive was a contingent of the best and brightest from both the Scryers and Aldor sent there from Shattrath. He ran into his new/old lover Bluzah and as well as a Blood Elf hunter who was a friend of hers. After speaking with those in charge of certain different areas of defense of the island the three set about their tasks to aid the offensive by any means possible. All the while Raenial and Bluzah would steal what comfort they could from each other be it a knowing glance or quick kiss or hug. He did not say it to her at the time, but in his heart Raenial knew that this offensive would take up the majority of his time. After all this was not just an assault on a source of power. This was an attack on his homeland and the former source of his people's lifeblood. If it could be retaken and perhaps even purified then it would mean freedom for the Blood Elves from the tainted Fel magic Illidan and Kael'thas had been feeding his people on for years now.

A week or so later, with the offensive in full swing thanks to the large number of adventurers looking to make a name for themselves and earn a few coins, Raenial was finally able to take a short break from the fighting. He had allowed his Charger free reign to just wander the streets of Silvermoon. Soon he'd found himself on the street that had been come to be known as "murder row", because of all the dark dealings that went on there. A voice from an alcove caught his attention, at first he thought it nothing but some shady merchant trying to get him to buy some worthless piece of junk, or worse try and jump him once he came closer to the shadows. But no, instead he heard a familiar voice, a voice that had no business being in Silvermoon.

He had been glad to see Aureliana safe, especially since he'd not seen her except that one time on Quel'Danas and then he'd only been able to say hello quickly before moving on to another area that needed defending. What his sister had to tell him horrified and angered Raenial to a point beyond reasoning. After everything she'd put herself and everyone else through she'd given up and submitted herself to Ciirian. She just wanted to be a good little nobleman's daughter now. The thought of Aureliana being basically a slave to Ciirian, at his beck and call like every nobleman's wife was supposed to act like... It broke his heart and sickened Raenial to hear that from her, but he resolved that if she wanted to be treated that way then so be it, he'd treat her that way. He then turned to the guards Ciirian had posted to watch over her and issued a challenge to Ciirian to discuss the honor of his actions and his worthiness to "keep" his sister. It scared and worried Aureliana to no end but all Raenial would do was remind her that she'd chosen this by giving up and deciding to be a good little nobleman's daughter. He just hoped Illy didn't find out and try and dispute his claim.

Almost another week passed with nothing but battle and a stolen moment here or there with Bluzah before he would hear from his sister. She sounded desperate and asked to meet him, he told her to meet him on the "High Road" a rather ironic name for a road leading to the Aldor rise from the mountains of Nagrand. The request had come over the goblin box and had been accompanied by various noxious words from Lorinni. Words that Raenial did his best to ignore as his rage was already at a boil over a nasty note he'd received from the man just the day before. Aureliana had apparently been rescued and then belittled by the same man when she'd found herself alone in an inn surrounded by people who seemed intent on either killing her, and a few ( like Lorinni) who tried to save her.

She'd apparently been trying to escape Ciirian. Raenial did his best to calm Aureliana and explain to her what was going to happen. She'd gazed at him with the eyes of a child and it frightened him a little. It also left him wondering because it was not the first time she'd gazed at him so, and he wondered idly if she truly was as old as she said she was. After reassuring her that all would be well, Raenial sent a very tired Aureliana off to bed and went in search of Lorinni. He'd grown tired of the man's bitching and from the background noise coming through the box he knew Lorinni had to be somewhere in Shattrath.

It took a surprisingly short time for him to run across the Ranger and Lorinni soon found himself lying flat on his back as Raenial strode quickly up to him and without slowing or stopping had landed a punch square on the man's jaw as his fists glowed with holy vengeance. They quickly devolved into a messy fist fight while yelling at each other about Rae's choice in women and the methodology of his relationships with them. It moved on from there to Lor's issues with his ex-wife and with nobles and Blood Knights in general. In the end they were bloody, exhausted and nothing had truly been resolved other than that in Raenial's mind their friendship was over.

During the fight he'd thought he heard Bluzah's voice and went looking for her after wiping up the worst of the blood on him. He found her on one of the bridges leading from the terrace of light out into Terrokar forest. Apparently she'd confronted Lorinni over his comments about her and Farzahrah as well and given him a fireball to the chest for his trouble. At first Raenial thought that he and Bluzah were going to be able to just relax and enjoy each others company but as seemed to happen a lot lately Raenial was thrown for a loop when she asked him if he was going to do to her what he'd done to Farzahrah.

It was the second time that night that Raenial's heart had broken, the first had been when he'd had to fight Lorinni. He tried to make Bluzah understand that he had duties, responcabilities to try and make the Azeroth and what was left of Draenor a better place to live. He'd tried to explain to her that aside from those duties she always came first in his mind and then his friends and family. All she'd say to him in return was that she always had time for him. They'd then retreated to her new home in Netherstorm and Bluzah had cuddled up to him as if all had been forgiven. They kissed and he teased her with his finger tips running over her blue flesh, letting his libido take control of his thoughts. At least until she'd pulled herself away from their kiss with a sigh, that action alone made Raenial take stock of himself and mentally settle himself down, after all he did not wish their relationship to be based solely on the energetic love making they enjoyed. Bluzah threw him for a loop again as she expressed her concerns of just who Aureliana was to him and her fears that Raenial would just do to her with Aureliana what he'd done to Farzahrah with her.

Though he'd kept it hidden at the time it shocked and appalled Raenial that Bluzah could have such a callous and cold thought towards him. Didn't she love him as he did her? Or was love something else to her entirely. It angered him slightly as well and he shot back with accusations of her own well known wandering eye and how he trusted her despite that. He also once again reassured her that Aureliana was his -sister- and his mind could not fathom her as a lover because of those platonic feelings for her. She seemed to accept this and they returned to their cuddling but in the back of Raenial's mind he wondered how long his mistakes with Farzahrah were going to haunt him and whether Bluzah and he truly were meant to be. As with every other bad event or thought that passed through Raenial's life he buried these feelings deep and used them to fuel the holy fire of vengeance which burned perpetually in the pit of his soul.

The issue with Aureliana finally came to a head two days later when he'd received a letter from her. She'd left Ciirian after he'd hurt and angered her and some "very nice people" had escorted her to Feralas. She wanted him to come there and take her somewhere safe. To say he moved swiftly was an understatement as he used every magical shortcut short of getting a mage to teleport him. He'd considered it but one thought of asking Bluzah and what her reaction would most likely be deterred him from that course. It was going to be enough trouble calming Aureliana and getting her somewhere safe. He found Aureliana in Camp Mojache at the inn there with two other women. One, a mute hunter named Sianhan he'd met once before in Silvermoon and had had a pleasant conversation with, the other was a woman who's name was Keridwyn, a friend of Lorinni's who'd watched them fight and apparently had no idea who Raenial was to either Lorinni or Aureliana.

Aureliana had practically thrown herself into his arms upon hearing his voice and there were many hugs and reassurances that he'd take care of her. As well as smiles and pleasantries exchanged between himself and the other two women. Knowing that Aureliana was safe with her brother Keridwyn left pretty quickly to see to matters of her own while Sianhan stayed a few moments longer which allowed Raenial to thank her propperly for helping Aureliana out. After both of the other women left Aureliana commented on how tired she was and asked if they could spend the night there and leave for their destination in the morning. Raenial agreed and the two slept at the inn. In the morning they'd left for Raenial's secret get away... a hut along warm, tropical shores where he was rarely bothered by anything larger than a sea turtle or monkey.

Raenial was nearly back to the hut now as his thoughts began to wind down to a close. He had to go to Shattrath and appeal to the Aldor's to allow him to bring Aureliana her things and reassure them of her safety. He also had to find Bluzah and let her know what was going on so she wouldn't be surprised and suspicious if she came here looking for him. Though in truth a part of his mind was tempted to not say anything at all just to see how she -would- react, but that wouldn't be fair to Aureliana. The last thing she needed right now was stress to complicate the process of finding herself again. He also needed to continue to do his part for the offensive and would need to return to Quel'Danas shortly.

He smiled seeing a still sleeping Aureliana in the hammock he'd used on previous visits and walked over to stroke her hair comfortingly. She murmured and whimpered in her sleep but then settled again. Raenial wrote a quick note with some instructions on it. She wasn't to contact or allow anyone to know where she was unless it was an emergency. Aside from that he just wanted her to relax and think back on her life and where she wanted to take it from here. He also told her to feel free to avail herself of his stock of rum and whiskey as she saw fit. In a final P.S. he told her that he would be sending her a special goblin box in a day or so in case she needed to contact him while he was away but that he'd check on her as frequently as the war effort would allow. He pinned the note under a bottle of rum and walked over to where she lie sleeping and lightly kissed her forehead, this time her murmuring seemed less troubled and he smiled at this good sign. Gathering his things as quietly as he could Raenial led his charger away from the beach to head back towards civilization and the duties that awaited him there.

Marieleveau- 04-14-2008
The ocean goes on forever. Aura sat beneath a tree to prevent the strong sunlight from burning her pale skin and sipped slowly from the bottle of rum Raenial had most pointedly left her as she stared out across the vast expanse of water. She hoped he would be able to get her things soon, she'd left with little more than the clothes on her back. That nice man, that General Merchea, had even had to buy her shoes. So here she sat in a skirt somewhat the worse for wear and a halter top. At least it suited the climate.

The repetitive sound of the waves crashing on the shore relaxed her. The beach was empty of all people, although she could make out the goblin port in the distance. If anyone were to come, she could see them miles away. Plenty of time to run. But she got the feeling she didn't have to run anymore.

Between the heat of the day and the alcohol, she grew sleepy and relaxed. She tried to turn over in her mind some coherent version of what had happened over the previous months. Finally she managed to work out for herself some sort of a coherent tale that fit along a timeline. It was odd how, if you put it all together, her actions looked like those of a total maniac. Each individual act, however, had seemed like the best possible choice at the time, or at least somehow justified. It was hard for her to say what she could have, or should have, done differently in each case. Except...

I could have stopped keeping secrets. I - I could have - asked Rae, or Lor, or Rainea, for help. Admitted I couldn't handle the situation. Stopped being so proud. Told them what really happened last summer and what it's been doing to me.

But then they would have laughed at her, or insisted since she was responsible for finding the solutions herself. They would have been horrified and treated her like a pariah. At the end, right before she'd turned to Ciirian out of desperation over ever being able to avoid him, she had asked some people, tentatively, for help, but was unable even then to fully come clean about how scared she was. As a consequence of her facade of reserve, those she had asked had not realized how serious the problem was, and when she'd done the only thing she thought she could, they'd simply become angry with her for her bad decisions.

She squinted as the lowering sun began to bother her eyes. Ciirian. It wasn't that he was always a bad person. Sometimes he was most pleasant toward her. She'd hoped that if she could keep from angering him with her behavior that he would continue to spoil and praise her as he sometimes did. It was hard to understand the juxtaposition of the man who softly whispered in her ear that she was a goddess among women and the man who'd nearly killed her with fel energy in a vicious rage. Every time she argued with him about his violent outbursts, he had a perfectly reasonable explanation for them and she couldn't seem to come up with an argument why he was wrong. And during their last fight, she'd admittedly hit him first, repeatedly, infuriated at his insults. Finally he'd walked away. She'd asked if it was for good, if he would finally leave her alone. "I will - for now." That simple statement had a wealth of unspoken menace behind it. At some point, she knew, he'd come back to punish her for her rebellious assault, petty and ineffective as it was. And she did what she usually did - she panicked.

Sianhan and Merchea found her by A'dal and next thing she knew she'd been whisked off to Orgrimmar, barefoot and confused. Ciirian's voice was calling her, he just wanted to talk, he'd sounded so sad. Maybe he was truly sorry this time? Merchea had gently but firmly taken the goblin box from her. Ciirian found them anyway. She shrank back from him as he approached and a sudden understanding seemed to come to his eyes - he'd turned and walked away. The three elves hurriedly left before he changed his mind.

Had it all been her fault? She had provoked him every time he'd attacked her... maybe he really did care and... maybe she'd overreacted because he'd sometimes reminded her of Shadowmaker and that - situation... well it didn't matter. She'd asked Raenial to take on more of his role as a brother and guardian and the decision was out of her hands. That realization brought her a sudden relief. She was tired of trying to make all the decisions for herself. She'd thought she was able to handle it. After all, wasn't she a Knight - or had been? A veteran? Promoted several times before she destroyed her career? Tapped for service in the Shattered Sun Offensive in spite of her difficulty with military discipline due to recognition of her fighting skills? At least that was one thing she was good at.

The estate, the care of her brother, the family fortune, marriage, the complexities of social life in Silvermoon, politics. There was more to independent, responsible adulthood than she'd ever dreamed when she'd left the small world of a Knight in training only a year before. Much, much more. And everyone expected her to be able to handle it in a mature, adult fashion. Of course they did. She'd never told them anything to make them think otherwise.

Just as she'd not been able to fully explain to anyone what her abduction had done to her, and why. After a month of recovery she'd tried to blow it all off, put it all behind her. Can't change the past. Never mind all that, it's all over now. Such internal pep talks didn't stop the nightmares, or the flashbacks, or the steadily growing lack of confidence. She'd tried to pretend these things weren't happening, kept her mouth shut. She wanted respect, not pity. She was fine. No really. Just send me back to battle, please. No, I don't need to talk to anyone. I'm fine.

She'd never told them the truth.

Maybe it was time to start.

She'd try explaining to Raenial first. If anyone would listen, he would.

She hoped.

Bluzah- 04-14-2008
Blu sat on the coastline of Quel' Danas. She had been coming to this island everyday for quite some time so she had made herself a small camp area near the water and had been camping there.

The Shattered Sun Offensive had gotten used to her being around. Even to the point of hearing one say " If Bluzah left us, I don't know what we would do". It made her smirk. It made her feel important again. She new her temporary camp wouldn't be there too long as she had heard word of an Inn coming soon. She had decided at that moment, when the Inn opened she would move in there.

Her hut in Netherstorm, although warm and inviting, she still felt a little bit uncomfortable around the Goblins. And now in high favour of the sindorei of Silvermoon and the same with the Shattered Sun Offensive..she felt welcome among them, even though she was a troll.

She sent a short note to Rae..it didn't say much.

Dear Rae,

Aye have moved myself to the Isle of Quel' Danas and have made myself a small camp in the north West by the shoreline. Aye will be staying there. You will find me if you need me

Love Blu

She couldn't bring herself to write anymore than that. She was angry at Rae... she loved him so much. The day she found him in Shattarath City fighting with Lor upset her greatly. What Lorinni had said about Farz and then about herself..enraged her.. to the point that when they split from each other Blu followed Lorinni.

After a few harsh words Blu did nothing but conjure a giant fireball and throw into right into his chest. Not even stopping to see if it hurt him or not.

She was shocked at herself for acting in such a way. She couldn't believe she would do such a thing to someone whom for sometime she regarded as her friend.

Now with no chance of her ever being friends with him again, she penned a note to an aquaintence of hers.. someone she only knew of by name, a friend of Sigfeda's... Idunn.

Dear Idunn,
How are you? Sigfreda has told me you have started training to become a ranger.. and that you have been placed under the care of Lt. Longstep. He and Aye are no longer friends and it would do best you do not tell him you know me in any sense. Aye would not want him to treat you any different than any other trainee under his care. Please be careful..he has a fiery temper and he is a strong fighter.. Don't give him any fuel.

Sorry to sound so dramatic , Aye had to tell you this. Aye would not want anything aye have done to affect you in any way.

Take Care Idunn and Stay Safe

Bluzah

She handed both notes to the messenger and flipped a gold coin his way.

"Make sure they are delivered with haste"

The messenger nodded and she watched him ride off into the distance.

Blu sat back and sighed. She took out her fishing rod and cast her line.. and just waited for a bite.

Marieleveau- 04-18-2008
The hammock swung gently in the breeze. Aura gazed out over the ocean. Raenial was wandering about somewhere - he'd been there when she woke up. That was... nice.

She was surprised when he reacted as mildly as he had to her admission of her real age - surprised and relieved. After the long talk they'd had recently in which she came clean about it she was amazed at how much lighter she felt - how much better it felt not to be hiding something - how good it felt to stop lying. Still, she was a bit nervous. Sometimes, she had learned, Raenial's appearance of calmness was deceptive. What was he planning, now that he knew?

Idly she wondered about the dream she'd had recently. She had awoken with a warm feeling inside, and almost feeling a bit hopeful. She knew that while she'd been with the Ascendant Lor had come to her once, in a dream, and it had turned out to be more than just a dream. The odd ways of Rangers perplexed her sometimes... still, just because he *could* do it didn't mean he *had*. It could have been merely a dream born of wishful thinking. But the quality of it had seemed - different. If it had been real, then it was real that Lorinni knew too - knew that she wasn't even as old as him. She frowned. That didn't seem to be the kind of thing she'd dream about. Was it, then, real?

She smiled to herself as she watched Rae wander about the small dwelling doing things. Funny, other than during that one unsettling visit to see him and Farz in the Barrens, she'd never seen him just going about normal day to day business. Usually they were in public somewhere, at a social function, or on the battle field, or traveling, when they met. I guess we're both usually fairly busy people, she thought to herself.

But now she wasn't busy at all.

There were some ways in which that was nice but, in spite of the stress she'd been under, her youth and natural high energy level helped her recuperate quickly, at least physically. While she still was mentally weaving through the tangles and confusion, otherwise she felt restless. Dimly she began to realize this tendency toward restlessness itself was probably behind most of the trouble she got into. Even if she didn't go back to battle immediately, or back to dealing with the people who were causing her stress she couldn't handle, it was almost equally as stressful to be sitting here doing nothing.

It was this restlessness, her own thoughts on the situations she'd been in, and her nervousness about what Raenial might think of as a good idea if she didn't come up with something soon that led her to approach him a few days later.

"Rae? Can I ask you something?"

He smiled at her and sat back from the task he busied himself with. "Of course."

"Well you know how you've told me about how you were in an older order of wielders of the light and all the stuff you've talked to me about like faith and things like that?" She waited for him to nod, noting a rather odd smile on his face. "Well while I was... away... I spent a lot of time with the Aldor and you know they talk a lot about the light too, and I spoke with a few other older paladins from that order and they said some very interesting things and well you know I'm kind of bored here with nothing to do really even though I know you said I'm supposed to be thinking and well I am thinking but - well - I know I used to argue with you or just not listen but everything that's happened has made me think and well... would you... tell me more about... the way your order did things? And - and show me that way? To do that? I - I think - it seems - I think that's what I need. I mean. I think it will help."

She blushed, embarrassed at her own stammering and afraid of what his reply might be. She looked down and away, waiting to hear his answer, hoping he wouldn't laugh at her.

Raenial- 04-27-2008
Aura's question threw him off for a moment and he just gazed at her in wonderment. And yes, a part of him did want to laugh, but in joy, not cruelty. For a moment he'd been about to answer her, to tell her that yes he'd love to instruct her in the ways of his old Order, but then something inside him welled up and pulled him short. It was something dark that tasted of bile and smelled of blood; something that while not evil was not entirely righteous either. It was the anger, the fury he kept caged inside himself and only released in battle against his foes as he fought for the ideals of the Light. He realized in that moment that while he carried that with him he could be no better of a teacher of the Light to Aureliana than any member of the Blood Knights could be.

"I'd love to teach you Aura, but I'm afraid I'm just not cut out for the job. My knowledge and use of the light is tainted by the vengeance that burns in my soul," he finally told her with a sigh and a sad smile which he tried to keep light.

It killed him to see the light of hope he'd briefly kindled in her eyes die as she looked down and away from him again in despair. So much so that he paused again before continuing with what he'd been going to say, "....buuutt I do know someone who would be perfect for the job. That is if you can stand being taught by a human?"

Raenial was surprised that there didn't seem to be any of Aura's old prejudices about the other races showing in her voice or features as they discussed this possible new tutor of hers. Aura seemed to fall back into the typical despondency and self loathing she'd begun to show more and more of over the last year while he spoke of Tirion Fording and the strong friendship he'd built with the man since meeting the former member of the Silver Hand. Apparently she was not unfamiliar with the man, having heard of him before from another paladin of her acquaintance named Arkanae, briefly smiling as she mentioned how much alike he and this Arkanae were. Unfortunately the moment of joviality was short lived as Aura dived back into depression upon the mention that Tirion would not only like her but more than likely treat her as he would his own daughter. She broke down crying and Raenial did his best to console and comfort her, apologizing for mindlessly making such a remark.

It was in the midst of Raenial's reassurances that Aura was indeed a good and worthy person that they were interrupted by a familiar voice. Raenial was on his guard at a moment's notice, stepping towards and placing himself between the woman who stood further up the beach and Aura. How in the nine layers of the abyss Rainea had managed to find them he had no clue, but he asked her that very question. Her only response was some mystics answer about sensing the spark of the Light within her former student. Aureliana seemed confused and distraught but at the same time hopeful and awestruck by her former instructor. Point blank he told Rainea that she wasn't welcome there and that she needed to leave. He didn't want her confusing Aureliana, even if her intentions were good, and setting her back in her recovery. They argued a bit and as they did the differences in how Raenial treated his Knighthood and how Rainea treated hers became apparent as he became ever more impassioned and she remained cool and logical.

It didn't take long before he realized that Rainea wasn't going to leave until she'd said her peace to Aureliana and he had to admit to himself that she deserved the chance to clear the air between herself and her former student. He stepped aside and a short distance down the beach so that he was nearly out of earshot but still more than close enough to react should the need arise. Aureliana had given him one fearful look but then turned her attention raptly to Rainea as they began speaking. Raenial received more than one look as he'd grunt or share his own opinion of a particular point of conversation. He felt that if Rainea would just treat Aureliana with the compassion and love he knew she felt towards her old student that she would have a much easier time of getting through to Aureliana and not confuse the poor girl so much.

Eventually Rainea said her goodbyes, telling Aura she would not be seeing her again until Aura was ready to contact her, meanwhile Raenial made a mental note to speak with Sianhan about hiding ones loyalties from others. He wasn't really angry with the woman, just frustrated that he hadn't noticed it before hand. He returned to Aura's side as he watched Rainea's retreating form and then turned his attention to the gentle waves of the ocean and the purpling sky as it grew ever darker. A chill wind convinced them both it was time to return to his hut. In a rather childlike manner Aura asked to be carried and Raenial complied without hesitating even a moment, laughing softly to himself as his adopted little sister nestled herself down in his arms.

The rest of the week proved to be just as stressful and yet epic at the same time as it saw him return to the battlefield on Quel'Danas where he proved himself time and time again. He even finally ran into Bluzah after listening to several of the Shattered Sun regulars sing her praises in the newly converted inn. He couldn't help but laugh as he found her sitting out on a balcony overlooking the harbor drunk as a skunk. She was pleased to see him though and tried to rise up to greet him. Seeing how wobbly she was Raenial gently pushed his love back into her chair and bent down to hug and kiss her warmly as he extolled his love and longing for her. She reciprocated in kind as he sat down on the ground near her chair as there was no other.

They sat and talked, Raenial teasing her about the praises he was hearing from the soldiers downstairs and she sounding surprised about the whole thing. Bluzah eventually flopped herself down into Raenial's lap after nearly losing her balance again while leaning down to kiss him. Something that he didn't complain about in the slightest as he snuggled her in his arms. They sat for a while bathing in the warmth of their love and the bliss of getting to be close to one another again, but after a time Bluzah seemed to get a pensive look on her face and stretched out to lie on the floor with her head in his lap.

It seemed to Raenial that she had something that she wanted to say to him but was having to build up to it for some reason. Finally she told him that she knew where Farzahrah was. The announcement threw him for a loop and for a moment he wanted to ask her where she was. Instead he merely asked her in a rather flat voice if she was safe. Bluzah assured him that she was and he commented then that was all that mattered really. She hesitated a moment again and blurted out that Farzahrah had found love again with another man, as if this would shock or distress him... and it did to some small extent he had been forced to admit to himself.

He asked Bluzah if this new man treated Farzahrah well and if he made her happy. She told him that he did and again it left Raenial with little more to say other then that was all that was important. Bluzah asked him to keep this knowledge quiet because Farzahrah and this mystery gentleman wanted to keep their relationship "hush hush" for the time being. That didn't sit well with Raenial and he half teasingly asked Bluzah if she was going to tell him who this mystery man was or was he going to have to cause a scene and tear apart half the world to find them. She shocked him then as she asked him what right he felt he had to even suggest such a thing. Raenial sat there in silence a moment as the coldness of Bluzah's comment washed over him. He finally asked why his devotion to those close to his heart wasn't enough and why his desire to ensure that what he'd done to Farzahrah wouldn't happen again at the hands of another man wasn't enough and many other questions which displayed his heartache at being treated so coldly when he had nothing but concern for his former lover.

Bluzah apologized for making the comment that she had and acknowledged that he had at least some right to ask who this man was, but also that she just wasn't going to break her promise to Farzahrah and tell him who he was. Raenial smiled as he accepted and respected Bluzah's position on the subject, settling down again with another shared kiss that began melting the tension which had sprung up almost instantaneously when she'd mentioned Farzahrah to begin with. After a time he felt exhaustion creep up on him and Raenial leaned his back against the balcony wall, asking Bluzah if it was all right with her if he slept there for a time. She smiled and agreed, snuggling herself into his lap some more as he drifted off to sleep.

The rest of the week was spent either aiding with the battle on Quel'Danas, visiting with Bluzah when they managed to find each other, visiting with Aureliana at his beach side hut, or keeping his all too brief vigils in M'uru's chamber. Fortunately they received no more "surprise" visitors where Aura was recovering herself. At the time of two chance encounters which would change the tenor of his mood swiftly yet again that week he'd been standing in M'uru's chamber gazing down at the tabbard he now wore, one that bore the insignia of the Shattered Sun and garnered him a lot of the same comments he'd heard murmured about Bluzah while on Quel'Danas.

Raenial heard a voice behind him and it turned out to be a familiar looking young Sin'dorei woman, though he wasn't sure it was the same person as she wore the training chainmail of a Blood Knight and not the robes of magically enhanced silk, rune cloth, and netherweave he'd been used to seeing this woman in. If in fact she was the same woman and not a sister or other relative, or perhaps even some fortuitous doppelganger. Despite her warm and friendly smile he could see the burdens she carried in her eyes and on her shoulders and out of compassion asked her about them though she was quick to reassure him that no troubles bothered her.

Accepting her answer at face value he commented that she looked familiar, as if he should know her. She assured him that he indeed did know her but did not wish to speak her name in these confines, something else he understood and acknowledged with a nod. They contented themselves for a time by speaking of M'uru and what the Naruu had meant to them. She spoke of singing to or with M'uru on occasion and he was forced to admit that he'd heard her sing from a distance from time to time and thought her voice beautiful. She demurred, saying that her voice was nothing in comparison to M'uru's chiming song, but he insisted that her voice provided a wonderful counterpoint to the pained, yet soothing notes of the Naruu's song. While they chatted she scribbled her name upon a note and showed it to him. Raenial had to laugh, his smile broadening even further upon having his suspicions confirmed for him.

They continued to chat as the subject of his incarceration came up and he teased her about the company she kept. Their conversation was interrupted by a voice familiar to Raenial issuing forth from the hallway behind them. He turned to see Jenoir standing just beyond the curtains being detained by the guards. He ordered the guards to let her pass and then all chaos broke loose as she was followed by a young looking Tauren man and everyone started talking at once. Clumsily Raenial tried to introduce Jenoir to his newfound friend and she likewise introduced the Tauren as her new man. He also steadfastly ignored the suggestive look Jenoir gave him, as if to ask if she'd interrupted something -other- than a friendly conversation.

Once the chaos of pleasantries was over Jen addressed him rather seriously, wanting to know what he or his friend knew of Kaldorei. The mention of Kaldorei made Raenial stiffen up for several reasons, the worst of which he hoped and prayed Jenoir had not discovered. He asked her why she was asking about Kaldorei and was greeted with a rather fierce answer that one had visited her home in Ratchet and had basically made some threats towards Mari and her family, something Raenial knew Jenoir would not stand for, and neither would he come to think of it. He was taken aback again after he asked her who this Kaldorei had been and was told it'd been Moonwhisper. It took all of Raenial's strength to keep from reaching out to touch the scar that suddenly itched from where Moonwhisper had stabbed him in the back the last time the two had been in Ratchet together.

Their brief but intense fight flashed before Raenial's eyes and he informed Jenoir that she'd have to beat him to Moonwhisper if she intended to extract her own vengeance on the man. The comment made her lunge for him and she grabbed at his tabbard while snarling and gazing at him with blazing orange eyes, asking him what business was it of his to deal with Moonwhisper. Raenial very calmly removed her hands as he stared her down and told her that for one she and Mari were practically family as far as he was concerned and that he had his own vendetta against the man. His comment seemed to spark some memory in Jenoir's mind and she calmed down a bit commenting that she was going to go check out Booty Bay for Moonwhisper and claimed she was going to wear his ears as trophies, meanwhile her Tauren companion retreated with a rather uncomfortable expression on his muzzle. Raenial said told Jen that if he made it to Moonwhisper first he'd save his ears for her. She grinned brutally at the suggestion and agreed then briefly said her goodbyes and when chasing after her new man.

Raenial wanted to explain to the young adept beside him what had just happened but found himself lost for words. Instead they talked briefly about her concerns that sometimes she was far to selfish in wanting to deal with her own personal issues instead of helping others deal with their problems. Raenial did his best to reassure her that sometimes one was better off dealing with or at least coming to terms with ones own personal issues before trying to help others. His reassurances seemed to comfort his companion in some way and she made some flippant comment about how he could even stand in plate mail considering how heavy her own chain mail felt to her. Raenial only laughed and assured her that the Blood Knight's vigorous training routines would have her armor feeling like she was wearing silk in no time at all. It was about this same time that another paladin entered the chamber, a friend of hers. Introductions were made and Raenial's newfound friend confessed that she should return to training. Raenial nodded in understanding and told her that he needed to make his way to Kalimdor himself. Saying their farewells and promises to remain safe they parted ways.

Raenial wasn't sure where he was going to start, but he knew two people he could contact to find out where Moonwhisper was or at least how to find him. He just hoped he'd get an answer in return.
